Logistics and Transport Management

Today’s managers in the transport industry are confronted with immense challenges, including containerization, computerization and information technology, inter-modal transportation and new logistic concepts. The aim of the Logistics and Transport Management programme is to educate tomorrow’s managers in the transport chain.

To achieve this, the Logistics and Transport Management programme provides participants not only with a solid basis in managerial subjects but also with in-depth knowledge of the maritime transport sector and its latest developments.

The course educates and trains you for a job at middle-management or supervisory level. Examples of possible future employers are shipping agents, port management companies, freight forwarders and stevedores or warehouses. And the prospects are very promising. New ports are developing. Port-related industries, warehouse and transport companies are growing at a great pace, new air and railway links are planned. This rapid growth is happening both inside and outside Oman, so if you want to be part of the fast-moving, international transport chain, this programme is the right choice for you!

Graduating with a Bachelor also opens the door to postgraduate studies, which are often required for upper-level management
