Marine Engineering (Marine Engineering Officer)
Marine Engineering students will learn how the different technical installations on a ship work and how to maintain them properly.
As part of the study, training will be done on high-tech engine room simulators and machine laboratories in order to prepare students as effectively as possible for their professional career. Using simulators, for instance, students will learn what procedures must be followed in the Engine Room and how to act professionally in emergency situations.
Shipping companies are eagerly looking for young, new personnel because of great manpower shortages in the seafarer industry. Currently there is a huge shortage of qualified seafarers worldwide and this shortage is expected to increase.
Graduating with a Bachelor also opens the door to postgraduate studies, which are often required for upper-level management.
